A blazing band - music of indian matrimony

The Indian wedding season is here and what better way to celebrate than to the tune of the Indian wedding band. You can hire these musicians  to play any film hit song tunes and it is a spectacle to watch the baratis dance to the catchy tunes and make their way with the groom on a horse, to the venue of matrimony. They add the color and the glitter to the rich Indian wedding. When they march along in the night shimmering under the blaze of the smoking kerosene lamps, following their bandmaster holding his banner, trumpets and drums, bugles and flutes all blazing, it is indeed a  sight to watch. 

The Indian band has always been a subject of great interest to me as an artist as I could create my work with a generous splash to color, postioning the characters in such a way to bring out the visual appeal of the painting.
